Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 30, 2026

BunnyBooks (“BunnyBooks,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using bunnybooks.net or our services, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you give us when you fill out a contact form, request a consultation, sign up for a service, or correspond with us. This typically includes your name, business name, email address, phone number, and a description of your accounting needs. We also collect technical information automatically (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring URL) when you visit the site.

2. How we use your information

  • To respond to your inquiry and provide the consultation, proposal, or services you requested.
  • To deliver, support, and improve our accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, and tax services.
  • To send service-related communications (engagement letters, document requests, financial reports, deadline reminders).
  • To send marketing communications about BunnyBooks services — you can opt out of these at any time.
  • To comply with our legal, regulatory, and professional obligations (including IRS, SEC, AICPA, and state CPA boards).

3. Right to contact — TCPA / phone & SMS consent

By submitting your phone number through any BunnyBooks form, you expressly consent under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), 47 U.S.C. § 227, and applicable FCC regulations to be contacted by BunnyBooks — or its authorized agents and service providers — at the phone number provided, including by:

  • Live agent calls;
  • Pre-recorded or artificial voice messages;
  • Automatic telephone dialing systems (autodialers); and
  • SMS or text messages, including transactional, account-related, and marketing texts.

You acknowledge that consent is not a condition of purchase — you do not have to agree to receive automated calls or texts to use our services, and we will provide a manual contact path on request. Standard message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your inquiry and engagement.

How to opt out. You may revoke consent at any time:

  • Reply STOP to any text from BunnyBooks to stop further texts;
  • Reply HELP for help with text messages;
  • Email [email protected] with the subject line “Opt-out”;
  • Tell any BunnyBooks representative on a call to remove you from our list; or
  • Call us at (800) 555-1234 during business hours.

We honor opt-out requests promptly and within the time required by law. After opt-out, we may still send you transactional service messages strictly necessary to deliver an existing engagement.

4. Email communications

By providing your email address, you consent to receive email from BunnyBooks regarding your inquiry, your engagement, and our services. Every marketing email contains an unsubscribe link. Service emails (engagement letters, document requests, deliverables, deadline reminders) are part of the engagement and cannot be unsubscribed without ending the engagement.

5. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

  • Service providers who help us run BunnyBooks (cloud hosting, accounting software, payroll providers, e-signature platforms) under contracts that require them to protect your data.
  • Tax authorities, regulators, and courts as legally required.
  • A buyer or successor in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — subject to the same protections as this policy.

6. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as we have an active engagement with you, plus the period required by law and professional standards (typically seven years for tax and accounting workpapers). After that, we securely delete or anonymize it.

7. Security

We use commercially reasonable safeguards — encrypted transmission (TLS), access controls, two-factor authentication, and role-based permissions on all client systems — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure; you submit information at your own risk.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information; to opt out of marketing; or to lodge a complaint with a regulator. To exercise these rights, contact [email protected]. We respond within the time required by applicable law.

9. Children

Our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted on the site or sent to you directly.
